Professional experience

Carlos is a man who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty. Metaphorically, at least. His current and most recent roles have placed him at the heart of two global digital giants, dealing with the fundamentals that define both companies’ profitability. Since summer 2022, he’s been at Google Cloud where he’s the worldwide managing director for infrastructure and security partnerships. Here he leads a team dedicated to developing the business of Google’s global partners through strategy and execution. It’s a multi-billion-dollar annual recurring revenue stream in Google’s fastest growing product area.

Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Microsoft and for the final three of these he led on driving cloud growth with the Independent software vendor (ISV) partner ecosystem in the US. Before that he was VP for the Device Sales Business in North America. Here he was responsible for all the partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to bring to customers more than 55m units per year of consumer and commercial devices across every distribution channel within North America.

Unsurprisingly, Carlos has had a formidable education with a degree in computer science engineering, an MBA from IESE in his native Spain as well as being a SEP Stanford University graduate.

All of which gives Carlos impeccable credentials for his advisory role at Edge where we can rely on him to share his hard-won experience at the senior level of two global tech giants.

Beyond the office

He has a passion for architecture and interior design, while he also loves to ski, sail and spend quality time with his family.
