Tanit Koch is a journalist, moderator, and former media executive. She is a columnist for “The New European”. Until November 2020 she was Editor-in-Chief of the Central Newsroom RTL and Managing Director n-tv. She served as Editor-in-Chief of BILD until 2018 and ran campaign communications for CDU-candidate Armin Laschet during the 2021 German elections. Her career started at Axel Springer Journalism School in 2005, when she received her journalistic training at the politics/business desk of BILD. Between 2007 and 2015 she held various positions at Axel Springer SE (among them Copy Chief, Senior Editor WELT Group, Bureau Chief BILD HAMBURG, Deputy Editor BILD) before becoming Editor-in-Chief of the print edition of BILD in January 2016. Tanit Koch holds degrees in Law and Political Science and is a member of the Transatlantic Commission on Election Integrity.
