Professional experience
Maya studied French and International Relations with Arabic at Nottingham Trent University, where she developed a keen interest in global diplomacy and political branding. Graduating with a First Class degree, she started her professional career in the heart of democracy working in the Houses of Parliament, rising to become the Executive Assistant and Senior Communications Officer for a Member of Parliament.
In this role, she managed intricate schedules, coordinated high-profile events, and built the MP’s brand as a leading voice on UK-Asia relations. Her work included organising VVIP visits, crafting communication plans, and overseeing international engagements.
Transitioning to venture capital, Maya now leverages her experience in political comms to support Edge’s strategic goals and the CEO.
