BLAST was shortlisted for Best Esports Event of 2023 with the BLAST.tv Paris Major. The Paris Major was one of BLAST’s biggest undertakings and was its first Valve corporation Counter-Strike Major event.

With the release of Counter-Strike 2, the Paris Major was also the last ever CS:GO major to be hosted, adding extra pressure to give a decade-spanning game a worthy send-off.

The Accor Arena played host to 50,000 fans across 4 days of adrenaline-fuelled action. The Grand Final between Team Vitality and Gamer Legion GmbH peaked at 1.5 million viewers – the third highest in CS history. Users combined to watch 58 million hours of the Paris Major online.
